Hosta 'Lakeside Cha Cha'

In 1994, Mary Chastain of Lakeside Acres Nursery in Tennessee registered this cultivar as a cross between H. 'Fascination' × H. montana. The mound is medium size (17 inches high by 44 inches wide) with slightly rippled, smooth, ovate shaped leaves. Its foliage becomes more yellow as the season progresses. Medium lavender flowers are borne in July but they do not set seed.

The New Encyclopedia of Hostas by Diana Grenfell (2009) states: "Leaves gradually assume a bright yellow glow, but the variegation can sometimes disappear."

There is an all golden-yellow sport of this cultivar named H. 'Golden Cha Cha'.
