This cultivar from unidentified parentage was
registered in 1993 by
Mary Chastain of
Lakeside Acres Nursery in Tennessee. It forms a miniature size (5 inches high by 10 inches wide) mound with wavy,
shiny medium green foliage. The purple flowers bloom
in July.
The Book of Little Hostas by Kathy and Michael Shadrack
(2010) says: "This pretty small plant provides excellent color
contrast with more showy companions in a tray or trough. Early morning sun will
maintain a rich, dark green color."
