Hosta 'Lettuce Wrap'

Registered by Bob Solberg of Green Hill Farm in North Carolina in 2019, this small size (7 inches high by 14 inches wide) cultivar is of unidentified parentage. It is a yellow hosta with foliage that is slightly shiny on top, nearly round, slightly cupped and moderately folded.

The petioles are wide and dark reddish purple in color which extends one-third of the way into the leaf blade. Pale purple flowers bloom from mid-July into August on 24 inch tall, mahogany red scapes with greenish yellow bracts.

The registration materials state: "...Bright yellow wrinkled leaves are round with wide, dark reddish-purple petioles, mahogany scapes and purple flowers...starts out bright yellow becoming greenish yellow later."
