Hosta 'Mad About Blue'

Originated by Mark Zilis of Illinois and registered by him in 2009, it is a slow growing seedling of H. 'Frances Williams' × (H. 'Marilyn' × H. 'Tardiflora').

It is a medium size hosta about 16 inches high by 39 inches wide with intensely blue-green foliage. The broadly ovate leaves are moderately wavy and slightly corrugated. Pale lavender flowers bloom in July on scapes about 22 inches tall. Seed viability was unknown at the time of registration.

The registration materials state: "...dark green by August 15."
