Hosta
'Northern Sunray'
aka Hosta NORTHERN SUNRAY

Another sport of H. 'Elegans', this plant was registered by Walters Gardens, Inc. of Michigan in 1987. Its leaves are blue-green to green in color with a light to medium green medial (center) variegation. Near white flowers in dense clusters bloom from mid-June into July.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "Unfortunately, it never lived up to those early expectations and has been nothing more than a "collector's curiosity"...The leaf center begins the season chartreuse to light green, then changes to medium green. At the same time, the margin changes from blue-green to medium green, resulting in a green-leaved hosta by early July."
