Hosta 'Number One'

This hybrid of H. venusta x possibly H sieboldii was registered by Richard Lighty of Pennsylvania in 1987. It forms a large size plant about 18 inches high with a spread of around 47 inches with blue-green foliage. Pale lavender flowers bloom from late June into July.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...may no longer exist."

There is also a cultivar named H. 'Ichi-ban' which in Japanese means Number One.
