 This sport of H. 'Glory' (which
is a seedling of H. 'August Moon')
was registered by
Hans Hansen and
Shady Oaks Nursery of Minnesota in 1999. It was granted a U.S. patent in
2002. 'Old Glory'
forms a large size (24 inches high) mound that
has very broadly ovate, moderately wavy and slightly corrugated, gold leaves with dark green margins.
The purple flowers are borne from late June into July.
According to

unusual internal markings."
