Hosta 'Orange Joy'

This hybrid of H. 'Wogon Gold' × H. 'Golden Sunburst' was registered by Kate Carpenter of North Carolina in 1979. The small size plant grows about 8 inches high with a spread of around 21 inches. Its leaves are narrowly ovate, slightly rippled and have thin substance. Medium purple flowers bloom in July.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "The listed parentage...is probably not correct...the pollen parent could not have been 'Golden Sunburst'...'Orange Joy' is very susceptible to slug damage."
