This cultivar is a hybrid of H. 'Gold Drop' × H. ventricosa and is part of the "PeeDee Series" of hostas from Ursula Syre-Herz of South Carolina. It was registered in 1989. The plant grows into a small size hosta around 7 inches in height with a spread of 15 inches. Its foliage is bright yellow green in color. Purple flowers bloom in July.
