Registered by Jim Schwarz of Jim's Hostas of Iowa (now owned by Uniquely Hostas of Wisconsin) in 2010, this upright growing cultivar is a sport of H. 'Prince of Darkness'. It has dark green foliage that is nearly round, slightly cupped, slightly corrugated and slightly shiny on top. Tubular flowers bloom from mid-July into August on scapes 20 to 26 inches tall.
