This is a hybrid of H. 'Heartache' × H. ventricosa was registered by Bob Kuk of Kuk's Forest in Ohio in 2005. It grows into a large size hosta about 20 inches high with dark green foliage that has gold marginal variegation. The leaves are slightly rippled. Deep purple, bell-shaped flowers bloom from mid-July into August.
