Hosta 'Rim Rock'

This hybrid is the result of a cross of an unnamed seedling of H. venusta x seedling of H. nakaiana. It was registered in 1982 by Robert Savory. The small size mound grows to about 10 inches in height with a spread of 29 inches. Its leaves are mildly corrugated, slightly wavy and have thin substance. Medium purple flowers are borne in July.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "It has a good growth rate and attractive flowers. It would be useful as an edging plant."
