This cultivar is a hybrid of H. 'Sea Prize' × H. 'Maekawa' which was registered by Dr. Ed Elslager of Michigan in 1999. It is a medium size plant with dark green foliage with a creamy yellow marginal variegation. The leaves have thick substance, are cupped and moderately corrugated. Pale lavender flowers bloom from late June into July.
