Hosta 'Ripple Effect'

This medium size (12 inches high by 15 inches wide) hosta is a tissue culture sport of H. 'June' which was originated by Walters Gardens, Inc. of Michigan and registered in 2008 by Amy Bergeron. It has blue-green foliage with greenish yellow medial (center) variegation. The leaves are elliptic, wavy and heavily rippled. Pale lavender, tubular flowers bloom from mid-July into August.

The registration materials state: "...mutation of H. 'June' with slightly elongated, intensely wavy leaves...center brightens to gold."
