						  This non-registered cultivar is a 
				sport of H. 'Piedmont Gold' from  
				Rod Lysne of 
				Northern Grown Perennials in Wisconsin. It forms a large size mound with near white flowers in late June. According to
				The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...named for Gandalf's mystical 
				horse in J. R. R. Tolkien 's The Lord of the Rings 
				trilogy."
