This non-registered cultivar is a seedling of H. rectifolia from Japan. It is a small size, green hosta with white marginal variegation and white flowers.

Mikiko Lockwood in an article on The Hosta Library titled, A Little About Japanese Hosta Terms defines the term shirobana as white flower and the term tachi as upright, 'Tachi Gibōshi' or H. rectifolia.
