Hosta 'Shirofukurin Otome'

aka 'Otome Shirofukurin'

This non-registered cultivar from Japan has a H. venusta background. It forms a miniature size mound and bears purple flowers in July.

Mikiko Lockwood in an article on The Hosta Library titled, A Little About Japanese Hosta Terms defines the term shirofukurin or shiro fukurin as white-edge(d) or white-margin(ed) and the term otome as maiden, 'Otome Gibōshi' or H. venusta.
