This non-registered sport of a white centered, H. 'Fortunei' from Arlie Tempel of Missouri was intended to be distributed by the Midwest Regional Hosta Society's 2003 meeting in St. Louis. When it was put into tissue culture to produce the needed number of plants, it sported to another form which was called H. 'Show Me'. That was the plant that attendee actually received.

'Show Me's Mom' is a giant size plant about 30 inches high by 53 inches wide with dark green foliage that has a narrow medial (center) variegation. Pale lavender flowers bloom in July.
