Hosta 'Standing Ovation'

Dr. Kevin Vaughn of Massachusetts registered this hybrid of a variegated seedling x a green leaved H. 'Goliath' seedling in 1987. It forms a large size (28 inches high by 60 inches wide) mound of green foliage with gold marginal variegation. The leaves are slightly rippled, moderately corrugated with good substance. Pale purple flowers bloom from late June into July.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "This exceptional Kevin Vaughn introduction offers gold-edged H. 'Sieboldiana'-type foliage in a large, semi-upright mound. The gold edges are non-burning, making it one of the best replacements for 'Frances Williams' in the landscape."
