Hosta 'Streets of Gold'

Rod Lysne of Northern Grown Perennials in Wisconsin registered this hybrid of H. 'Blue Mammoth' × H. 'Golden Medallion' in 2006 and was re-registered in 2020.

It grows into a large size hosta about 24 inches in height with a spread of 55 inches. The golden-yellow foliage is nearly round, moderately corrugated and dull on top. Pale lavender flowers bloom in July on scapes 26 to 30 inches tall but it does not set viable seed.

The registration materials state: "...nearly round leaves at maturity, strong puckering, intense summer gold color...chartreuse becomes gold as season progresses."
