Hosta 'Sunlight Sister'

In 1986, this H. sieboldiana type cultivar was registered by The American Hosta Society on behalf of the originator, Elizabeth Nesmith of Massachusetts. The mound grows into a large size hosta about 23 inches in height and a width of 5 feet with foliage that is ovate in shape, slightly wavy, slightly corrugated with deep veins. Its near white flowers bloom from late June.

These 2010 photos were taken at the Ralph (Herb) and Dorothy Benedict Hosta Hillside in Michigan, tours and vendors at The American Hosta Society National Convention in Minnesota, Wade and Gatton Nursery and Wade Botanical Gardens in Ohio, Toledo Botanical Garden and the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum.
