Hosta 'Ur'

Alex Malloy of New York originated this non-registered cultivar with H. 'Tokudama' in its background. It forms a medium size plant with blue-green to dark green foliage that has a chartreuse to gold medial (center) variegation. The leaves are broadly ovate, cupped and heavily corrugated. Near white flowers in clusters bloom from late June into July.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...appears identical to H. 'Tokudama Aureonebulosa'."

Ur was a city in the region of Sumer, southern Mesopotamia, in what is modern-day Iraq.
