Hosta 'Urchin'

This cultivar is the result of several crosses involving H. 'Candy Dish', H. pycnophylla, H. 'Atom Smasher' and an open-pollinated seedling which was registered by Dr. Doug and Mardy Beilstein of Ohio in 2013. It is a small size plant about 8 inches in height with a spread of around 13 inches which has medium green foliage.

The leaves are moderately wavy, moderately folded, lance shaped and very shiny on top. Medium lavender, tubular flowers bloom from July into August. It sets viable seeds.
