Hosta 'Uzu-no-mai Fukurin'

This non-registered cultivar is a sport of H. 'Uzu-no-mai' from Japan. It forms a miniature size (2˝ inches high by 5 inches wide) mound of ovate, wavy, foliage with smooth texture and better than average substance. The dark green foliage has a wide, creamy white marginal variegation. Purple striped flowers bloom in August.

Mikiko Lockwood in an article on The Hosta Library titled, A Little About Japanese Hosta Terms defines the term fukurin as margined or edged.
