This cultivar is from the Netherlands and was registered in 2005 by Gerardus Heemskerk of Heemskerk Vaste Planten as a sport of H. 'Undulata'. The leaves of this medium size (14 inches high by 25 inches wide) plant are elliptic shaped, wavy and have average substance. It bears pale purple, funnel shaped flowers in July but rarely sets seeds.

The New Encyclopedia of Hostas by Diana Grenfell (2009) states: "Slow to moderate growth rate. Very vulnerable to pest damage. Dramatic and unusual as the white leaves are, the foliage is also very effective as a streaky-leaved hosta...As the streaking develops, the outline of the veins appears as a ghostly impression."
