Hosta 'White Lightning'

A sport of H. 'Janet', this cultivar was registered by Janet Shugart and Jane and Bernie Diesen of Nebraska in 1994. The medium size plant grows to about 16 inches in height and a width of 3 feet. Its leaves are ovate shaped and slightly corrugated. In late July, it bears lavender flowers.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...makes a fairly dense mound of foliage. Its growth rate is slower than 'Janet', taking a year or two longer to reach maturity. It sometimes sports green-centered leaves."
