Hosta 'Willamette'

Originated by Chet Tompkins of Oregon and registered in 2003 on his behalf by Peter Ruh of Ohio, this cultivar is a hybrid of H. plantaginea x H. 'Royal Standard'. It is a large size plant with light green foliage. In August, it bears large white, fragrant flowers.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "I can see no difference between this and H. plantaginea."

This is a native American name which refers to a region and a river in the Pacific Northwest of the United States.
