Hosta 'Country Double Take'

 

Registered by Don Dean of Minnesota in 2019, this cultivar is a seedling of {[(H. 'Liberty Bell' × H. 'Urajiro Hachijo' × H. pycnophylla)] × (H. 'Liberty Bell' × H. yingeri)} × H. 'High Kicker'. This medium size hosta is about 15 inches high by 39 inches wide with medium green foliage that has yellow marginal variegation. The leaves are ovate, slightly shiny on top, slightly twisted and moderately folded. Medium lavender flowers bloom from August into September on green scapes 23 to 35 inches tall. It does not set seed.

The registration materials state: "...Flared mound of green leaves with heavily rippled yellow margins. Heavy bloom habit with scapes in proportion to the clump size...yellow margins turn nearly white"
