Hosta 'Purple Flush'

Registered by Mark Zilis of Illinois in 2010, this cultivar is a hybrid of H. 'Halcyon' × H. 'Gold Regal'. It is a medium size (16 inches high by 36 inches wide) hosta with intensely blue-green foliage. The leaves are broadly ovate, heavily corrugated, moderately cupped, moderately wavy and have a glaucous bloom on top. Lavender flowers with medium purple stripes bloom from June into July on scapes about 29 inches tall.

According to the registration materials: "...purple "flush" in the middle of each flower petal, rich blue foliage...dark green by mid-August..."
