Angel's Trumpet

There are 7 species in this genus of shrubs or small trees noted for their large, fragrant flowers. All parts of the plant are poisonous if ingested. The flowers are similar to those of the genus, Datura except that Brugmansia flowers hang downward while those of Datura are held upward and erect. They are native to the tropical regions of South America.
