Trumpetvine

This genus of vine plants contains two species that are native to China and North America. They climb by aerial roots and produce large, trumpet-shaped flowers in late summer. Trumpetvines are noted for their vigorous growth habit and once planted in a particular site may be difficult to remove due to underground root systems which will continue to send up vines for years after the main trunk is destroyed.
