Twinspur

There are about 70 species and is found only in Southern Africa. It consists of species that are perennials and others that are not hardy in temperate zones so are used as "annuals".

The name is from the Greek word, di meaning two and askos meaning sac referring to the two oil containing spurs on the flowers.
