Heliotrope

This is a genus consisting of 250 to 300 species of flowering plants. The plants in this species are noted for their vanilla scented leaves and for umbels of purplish to white flowers in the summer. In the landscape, they are used as bedding plants or in containers since they are not hardy in temperate regions.
