There
are around 65 species in this genus native
to many parts of the world. They are named
for Scottish naturalist, Alexander Russell
(1715-1768). There is some disagreement
among
taxonomists on this genus with some
placing them in the
Scrophulariaceae Family while other
put them in Veronicaceae.
