Oval to rounded canopy.
40 to 50 feet
White on 12 to 16 inch tall panicles. Each flower has 4 petals blotched in yellow with red at the base.
 
Opposite, compound palmate, 7(5 to 9) leaflets, short stalked, obovate-lanceolate, 6 to 10” (12”) long, finely serrate, glabrous, lustrous dark green above and with a distinct undulating margin.
Salmon to orange red.
 
 
A 2 to 3 inch rounded capsule that is rough but not spiny.

 

 

  • ‘Sydney Pearce’ has deeper pink flowers in tighter panicles that are freely borne.
