The flowering hcads of this ornamental species are as much as 8-12 inches wide. The leaves are in. Wide, flowers are lilac colored with a starlike sheen and the plant is native to Asia Minor. Excellent for drying and using in arrangements, blooming in early June. In the North, it is best to plant the bulbs about 6 inches deep and if they are to be planted in a mass, plant 8 inches apart.
