Vigorous, climbing vine clinging by tendrils
Growing 10-15 feet tall, possibly up to 25 feet
Flowers are greenish, borne in long-stalked cymes, insignificant.

Leaves are alternate, simple, 1-3 inches long, 5 lobed, pinnately lobed often to the midrib.
Fall color is nonexistent.
 
 
Fruit is a berry, ¼-⅓ inch in diameter, orange to yellow and finally to blue, borne in fairly conspicuous clusters, ripening in September-October
