Spathe is light green and terminates in a long, ascending projection that looks like a yellow whip. Orange berries.
 
A single, long-petioled leaf divided into many segments, up to 15
 
 
 
Very similar to Jack in the Pulpit (A. triphyllum) except that green dragon has only one large, compound leaf that is divided into 7 to 15 lance shaped leaflets that resemble a dragon's claw. It also has a greenish spadix which is narrower and tapers upward.
