Mounded plant
24 inches tall and 18 inches wide
The flowers are solitary and borne on stiff stems. Flower heads are 2-3 inches wide with white disk flowers and bright pink ray flowers.
Late spring to midsummer
The leaves are of two types, basal or stem. The 12 inches lyrate (lobed in a pinnate manner) and the upper leaves toothed margin. Both leaf types are dark green on the tomentose beneath.
 
 
  • 'Steenbergii' - More compact than the species with a longer flowering period. Flowers are carmine purple with white centers.
