Crocosmia masonorum     Erect plant (corm)   Flowers point upwards from the stem rather than nodding as on other selections. Bright orange-red flowers. Summer       'Firebird' - introduction by Alan Bloom with “hot” orange-red flowers with open florets. 'Lucifer' - deep orange-red flowers borne on sprays up to 4 feet. The most common cultivar grown. 'Spitfire' - orange-red flowers with yellow throats. 'Emberglow' and 'Bressingham Blaze' are similar with darker orange-red color than that found with 'Lucifer'
