Erect plant (corm)
1˝-3 feet tall by one foot wide.
Orange to orange-red, campanulate to tubular flowers. Flowers are 1˝ inches wide in dense, one-sided clusters on 2-3 feet stems which arch near the tip. The buds open from the base to the cluster tip and spent flowers drop cleanly.
  Mid to late summer.
  Sword-shaped leaves in basal clumps. Leaves are 1-2 inches wide and 3 feet long. The leaf blades resemble those of gladiolus.
 
  • 'Emily McKenzie' - bright orange flowers with crimson throats.
