Ecballium elaterium Squirting Cucumber Mediterranean to Southern Russia Hairy, tuberous rooted perennial vine of sandy or stony soils.   Yellow flowers - Produces hairy, oval berry fruit which dehisces explosively when ripe.   This species lacks tendrils which are present on other members of the Cucurbitaceae Family.
