Extremely prolific seed producing annual of wetlands, roadsides and waste lands.
 
Similar to Aster but earlier blooming and with more numerous and narrower ray flowers.
 
 
 

 

Young plants are sometimes confused with horseweed (Conyza canadensis) but fleabane leaves have more prominent teeth.
