Flowers are white, ¼ inch wide and borne in dense paniculate cymes.
Early to midsummer
Leaves are alternate, 4-8 inches long and pinnately compound with 7-9 leaflets. Lateral leaflets are ovate and doubly serrate while the terminal leaflet is palmately divided into 3 or sometimes 5 lobes. Leaflets have impressed venation which creates a crinkled texture.
