Does not have the brilliant autumn coloration the native F. americana
 
 
 
Emerald Ash Borer which is an exotic pest introduced in the early 2000s has been killing large numbers of ash trees in an ever widening area across parts of the United States where ash (Fraxinus) is grown.
 

  • 'Aurea' - yellow branchlets the older bark is yellowish especially during the winter
  • 'Nana' - globe-shaped tree.
  • 'Pendula' - spreading, umbrella-shaped tree with weeping branchlets.
