Hamamelis vernalis Vernal Witchhazel, Ozark Witchhazel Central United States     Very small, ribbonlike flowers are extremely fragrant. They are yellow or slightly reddish and the smallest flowers of this genus. February-March   Foliage turns a brilliant yellow in the fall.
