Narrower leaves than L. salicaria which are acute at the base and do not clasp the stem
 
 
  • 'Dropmore Purple' - Deep purple flowers, 3 feet tall. A hybrid of L. salicaria x L. virgatum.
  • 'Happy' - 15-18 inches tall, which is less than half the height of other cultivars. The flowers are dark pink.
  • 'Morden Gleam' - Flower color is deep rose-pink. Plant height is 3˝ feet. A hybrid of L. virgatum 'Morden Pink' x L. alatum.
  • 'Morden Pink' - This pure pink flowering cultivar is as a bud sport of L. virgatum. The pink flowers are profusely produced from mid to late summer.
  • 'Morden Rose' - Rosy-red flowers and dark foliage, 3 feet tall. Cross of L. virgatum 'Morden Pink' x L. alatum. It is more tolerant of hot, dry weather.
  • 'Robert' - Bright pink flowers on a compact plant, 2-3 feet tall.
Very similar to L. salicaria. Breeding program from the Agriculture Research Station, Manitoba, Canada by the late Dr. Skinner.
