Upright growing, fine-textured plant
3-4 feet tall and 3-4 feet wide
Perovskia is in the mint family consequently, the small flowers are 2 lipped. The lavender-blue flowers are arranged in an interrupted spire that extends above the foliage.
Summer
The stems are gray-white and the leaves are gray-white beneath. Both are aromatic. The oppositely arranged leaves are strongly dissected and 1˝ inches long.
 
 
  • 'Blue Haze' - Pale blue flowers and leaves that are nearly entire.
  • 'Blue Spire' - Finely dissected leaves and deep violet flowers.
  • 'Longin' - Narrower and more upright than the species. Leaves are not as dissected as the species. Hybrid of unknown origin.
