The branching stems bear flower heads that have
1 inch pubescent, cup-shaped blossoms. The
species has 5 petals and cultivars may be semidouble or double. The
flowers are deep rose in color.
Late spring to summer
The palmately compound leaves have 5 leaflets.
Leaflets are 1-2˝ inches long, obovate to
oblanceolate and coarsely dentate.
'Miss Willmott' - Cherry pink flowers, 12 inches tall. Named for
Ellen Willmont.
