Similar to Rudbeckia hirta var. pulcherema except the leaves are darker green and glabrous.
Less susceptible to powdery mildew than other Rudbeckias.
 
  • var. speciosa - Basal leaves are entire or shallowly lobed while the stem leaves are coarsely toothed. Flowers have orange petals.
  • var. sulivantii - Stem leaves become smaller until the uppermost leaves are bract-like.
  • 'Goldsturm' - Most common cultivar of this variety. It has dark green foliage and 3-4 inches diameter bright yellow flowers. It is a compact form, 24 inches tall.
